Child abuse causes injury and other lasting effects to any child. One effect of child abuse trauma is the victim growing up to become abusers themselves or worse, becoming violent criminals. Many criminals who wind up in prison are victims of child abuse due to their childhood psychological trauma. Child abuse events are not able to be undone.
