Don’t Ignore The Golden Rule When Choosing The Best Skin Care Line
You’ve been spending some time on the net looking at skin care reviews and different skin care products and programs trying to find the best skin care line. Good. You’re interested in your skin health and want to improve your skin.
But “What’s the best skincare line” is the second question you should be asking yourself, not the first. There’s a cardinal rule of skincare and skin care products. Don’t harm your skin.
Observing the golden rule can be more important than choosing the skin care line. Because no matter how good is that skin care line that you choose, there’s a very good chance that your skin health is going backwards if you’re ignoring the golden rule. Take some simple steps to make sure you’re not doing your skin damage and you’re way out in front, and may be doing your skin more good than using the best skin care products.
When I say don’t harm your skin what do I mean by that? I mean that there are so many things that women do to their skin every day without even realizing the skin damage they are causing. Sunburn and smoking are 2 prime examples. Both smoking and sunburn are absolutely terrible for your skin.
There’s a range of ways that smoking can damage your skin, (and your health). Smoking damages your blood circulation and good blood circulation is essential for your skin health, and your overall health.
And sunburn is absolutely terrible for your skin too. It damages your skin every single time you get burned, and the damage lasts for a long time, or permanently.
And that’s only the start. Here’s another example that may really surprise you. There are big brand skin care products and cosmetics on the market that actually do damage to your skin. The reason is that the FDA has no brief to regulate what is put into cosmetics and skin care products, so the big companies can put about anything they want into the products, and they do. Mineral oil is a fine example, it’s a petrochemical product that damages your skin but is very cheap to use. So it’s in there.
And there’s more. Avoid some other things, like many big brand soaps and shampoos. Avoid really hot baths, especially long ones, and keep showers short and cooler. Both dry your skin. And the chlorine in your water will also damage your skin in the shower or bath, use a good house water filter for all your house water. And in the shower avoid that “exfoliation” because it too can damage your skin if done to excess.
Look for and use the best skin care line by all means, because there’s no doubt that the best natural skin care products can work wonders for great skin health, and the best natural skin care products don’t contain ingredients damaging to your skin. But although using the best skin care line is great, doing the things I’ve cautioned against in this article can undo all that good. Don’t forget the golden rule.
Don’t damage your skin. Ignore that golden rule at your peril. Then go find the best skin care line and use it.
